Seneca Healthcare District has recently hired a new Information Technology (IT) Director. Brian Churchill, a healthcare IT executive, and solutions strategist assumed this role after leading Seneca Healthcare District through our new Electronic Health Records system implementation.
Brain worked at Sturdy Memorial Health from Jan 1990 thru June 2022, starting at the help desk, where he promoted through every role possible in the IT Department. During his last 15 years at Sturdy, he was the Director of IT.
“Sturdy Memorial, at present, is a licensed Acute Care hospital Licensed with 140 Beds and 23 Clinics with approximately 150 Providers. When I started, it was just a stand-alone hospital. Much of the expansion was during my time as IT Director.” said Brian.
The IT Director guides the strategic planning for much of the hospital’s clinical IT functions. The role also aims to ensure the hospital’s clinical information systems work seamlessly and effectively in supporting staff as they care for patients.
As the IT Director, Brian will provide general day-to-day supervision, management, guidance and administration for IT development and maintenance teams.
