Date: July 21, 2021

For: Immediate Distribution

From: Chelssa Outland, PIO

Effective Wednesday, July 21, 2021, Seneca Healthcare District (SHD) has activated the hospital’s Hospital Incident Command Center (HICC) in response to the Dixie Fire.  The HICC team, led by Shawn McKenzie is set up in an abundance of caution.

HICC will work closely with local state and federal authorities to stay updated on relevant information, as we continue to navigate through the potential fire dangers. At this time there  are mandatory evacuations for the West Shore communities of Canyon Dam, Prattville, and Lake Almanor West.  As such, Seneca has activated our internal plans for patient and staff safety should we be notified of an advancing fire hazard.

We will staff the HICC 24-hours per day, Seneca Healthcare District Hospital, Family Practices, and Walk-in Clinic will remain open at this time.

Please direct ALL inquiries about the status of Seneca Healthcare District to the HICC at the numbers below.
