FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
September 25th, 2026
(Chester, CA) — Every community has a story; told through the people who build it, support it, raise families in it, and stand beside their neighbors during life’s most important moments. Today, Seneca Healthcare Foundation (SHF) is inviting community members to become a permanent part of that story through its Buy a Brick Campaign, benefiting the new Lake Almanor Community Hospital.
As the hospital takes shape in Chester, each engraved brick will become a lasting symbol of the community’s commitment to local healthcare and the generations of families who call the Lake Almanor Basin home. Whether honoring a loved one, recognizing a family legacy, celebrating a local business, or showing support for the future of healthcare in our region, every brick tells a story and helps build a stronger future for our community.
Each engraved brick will be installed at the new hospital and will serve as a lasting tribute to the individuals, families, businesses, and loved ones who helped make this project possible. Visitors for years to come will be able to walk the hospital grounds and see the names of those whose generosity, dedication, and belief in local healthcare helped bring this transformational project to life.
The new hospital represents more than a building. It represents a promise to future generations that quality healthcare will remain close to home. It is a reflection of the resilience, generosity, and commitment that defines the Lake Almanor region.
Through the Buy a Brick Campaign, supporters can purchase a personalized engraved brick for $500. Bricks may honor a loved one, celebrate a family legacy, recognize a local business, commemorate a special milestone, or simply express pride in the community everyone calls home.
“Building a hospital takes the support of an entire community,” said Chelssa Outland, Executive Director of SHF. “The Buy a Brick Campaign offers community members an opportunity to be part of that effort while creating a lasting tribute. These engraved bricks will become one of the many visible reminders throughout the hospital campus of the people, families, businesses, and organizations who invested in the future of local healthcare.”
For many families, Seneca Healthcare District has been there during some of life’s most meaningful moments, from caring for aging parents, to providing comfort during medical emergencies. The Buy a Brick Campaign gives community members an opportunity to give back while creating a visible reminder of the connections that make our region so special.
Years from now, visitors walking the hospital grounds will see these engraved bricks and be reminded that this hospital was built not only with concrete and steel, but with the generosity, hope, and support of an entire community.
