Seneca Healthcare Foundation (SHF) has officially received approval of our 501(c)(3) status. Since Seneca Healthcare Foundation is officially a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, charitable contributions are eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions according to Code section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
For over 70 years, the Seneca Healthcare District (SHD) has served the Lake Almanor Basin and its surrounding areas. Now, through Seneca Healthcare Foundation, you can directly support our efforts to secure a future where high-quality healthcare is available to all who live, vacation, and make up the fabric of our evolving lake community.
“The 501(c)(3) status is an IRS tax exemption that enables individuals, family trusts or other organizations a tax-deductible method for charitable contributions in support of our new hospital build and expanding quality healthcare throughout the Lake Almanor Basin” said Shawn McKenzie, CEO of Seneca.
Chelssa Outland, Executive Director of SHF said, “I’m thrilled that we have reached the final stages of establishing the Seneca Healthcare Foundation. Over the past year, a dedicated team has worked tirelessly to set up the Foundation in a manner that will effectively support the healthcare district and the communities it serves. Each member has played a crucial role, and I am deeply grateful for their hard work and commitment.”
Every dollar the Seneca Healthcare Foundation receives goes directly toward enhancing healthcare services and improving the well-being of our community.
