(Chester, CA)- Seneca Healthcare Foundation (SHF) is thrilled to announce the receipt of a generous grant from the KBK Foundation to support the purchase of critical Laboratory equipment for the new Lake Almanor Community Hospital currently under construction in Chester, CA. This transformative gift will directly enhance the hospital’s ability to provide high-quality healthcare services, ensuring patients in our community have access to state-of-the-art care from day one of opening.
“We are truly grateful to the KBK Foundation for believing in our mission and supporting the essential needs of our new community hospital,” said Chelssa Outland, Executive Director of SHF. “This grant brings us one step closer to ensuring our community has access to exceptional, modern healthcare right here at home.”
Dedication Behind the Funding
This funding was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Seneca Healthcare Foundation team and several key Seneca District staff members. Executive Director Chelssa Outland led the grant-writing process over several weeks, developing and refining the proposal to the KBK Foundation to ensure every detail aligned with the vision for advanced laboratory services at the new hospital.
Supporting this effort was James Rudolph, Laboratory Manager; Steven Stoops, Purchasing Manager; and Judy Cline, Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), who provided critical input on equipment needs, operational priorities, and patient care goals. Their expertise ensured the proposal accurately reflected the hospital’s future requirements and commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare to the Lake Almanor community.
A Milestone for Local Healthcare
Thanks to this grant, the new hospital will be equipped with advanced laboratory tools that will expand testing capabilities, improve diagnostic turnaround times, and enhance patient care for families throughout the region. These resources will ensure that local residents can receive comprehensive care without the burden of traveling long distances for essential services.
“This grant represents hope, progress, and the power of investing in community well-being,” Outland added. “We are honored to partner with KBK Foundation in building a stronger, healthier future.”
