(Chester, CA) — On May 30th, the Seneca Healthcare Foundation (SHF) hosted its inaugural charity golf tournament at Bailey Creek Golf Course, bringing in over $85,000 and raising awareness for the construction of the new Lake Almanor Community Hospital.
Over 100 golfers—including sponsors, healthcare professionals, and community supporters—came out to show their support. The tournament featured unique amenities such as a MASH*-themed drink station, live stand-up comedy from the Hole Hecklers, and more. This exciting event marks the beginning of a new charitable tradition in support of healthcare in the Lake Almanor Basin.
“The turnout was incredible, and it’s heartwarming to see our community rally around such an important cause,” said Chelssa Outland, Executive Director of SHF. “This hospital will be a cornerstone of health and wellness for generations to come.”
The new Lake Almanor Community Hospital, expected to welcome its first patient in early 2027, will expand and improve access to critical medical services for residents in the Lake Almanor Basin and surrounding communities.
Special thanks to our Champion sponsors—R&R Horn, Big Cove Resort and SPI Foundation— for helping make this inaugural event a prosperous endeavor.
Special thanks to our Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive sponsors—Enloe Health, Building RX, Monley Hamlin, and HGA—for making the on-course competitions a highlight of the day. Winners of these contests received premium Revo golf sunglasses, generously provided as part of the prize package.
Special thanks to our Pro sponsors—Lake Almanor Ace Hardware, Harrison Drywall, BFI Inspections, R1 RCM, Law Offices of Daniel Alexander and Metal Works—whose contributions enhanced the on-course experience for all players.
Seneca Healthcare Foundation extends its deepest gratitude to all sponsors, volunteers, and participants who made this event a success.
