Seneca Healthcare District Announces Request for Proposals for Support Service Building 

Chester, CA – March 18, 2025 – Seneca Healthcare District is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the construction of the Support Service Building as part of the Replacement Critical Access Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facility project. 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seneca Healthcare District (“District”) invites and will receive sealed Bids up to but not later than 2:00pm on Friday, April 11th, 2025 at the office of the Seneca Healthcare District Administration Office, located at 199 Reynolds Road, Chester, CA 96020. The RFP is for the furnishing to the District of all Construction Documents, permits, labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, utilities, and all other items necessary for the Seneca Healthcare District Support Service Building (the “Project”). 

This project is a significant step in our ongoing commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services to the Chester and Lake Almanor communities. The new Support Service Building will enhance our capabilities and ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our patients with state-of-the-art facilities.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Seneca Healthcare District (“District”) invites and will receive sealed Bids up to but not later than 2:00pm on Friday, April 11th, 2025 at the office of the Seneca Healthcare District Administration Office, located at 199 Reynolds Road, Chester, CA 96020, for the furnishing to District of all Construction Documents, permits, labor, equipment, materials, tools, services, transportation, utilities, and all other items necessary for the Seneca Healthcare District Support Services Building (the “Project”) of the Replacement Critical Access Hospital + Skilled Nursing Facility.  At said time, Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the conference room located at the Seneca Healthcare District Clinic, located at 199 Reynolds Road, Chester, CA 96020.  Bids received after said time shall be returned unopened. Bids shall be valid for a period of 90 calendar days after the Bid opening date.

Bids must be submitted on the District’s Bid Forms.  Bidders may obtain a copy of the Contract Documents from the Seneca Healthcare District website, http://senecahospital.org/bid.  To the extent required by section 20103.7 of the Public Contract Code, upon request from a contractor plan room service, the District shall provide an electronic copy of the Contract Documents at no charge to the contractor plan room.  Additionally, Contract Documents shall be available at the following plan rooms:

It is the intent of this solicitation to contract for a free-standing Metal Building, with utility tie-in to the adjacent Replacement Critical Access Hospital + Skilled Nursing Facility that is currently under construction.  This successful bidder may be contracted to utilize the provided Contract Documents to provide any needed modifications to the Metal Building Company’s standard specifications to meet the needs defined in the Bid Documents and to create the Construction Documents that shall be then used for obtaining permit.  Following permit, the contracted successful bidder shall then proceed to provide all labor, equipment, materials tools, services, transportation, utilities, and all other items necessary for completion of the Project.
