About Ultrasound: Ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique that creates images of the body’s internal structures and organs. During an ultrasound exam, a trained sonographer or ultrasound technologist uses a small handheld device, which is applied to the skin. Ultrasound is widely used to diagnose various medical conditions, including pregnancy, cardiovascular disease, abdominal and pelvic disorders, and musculoskeletal injuries. It is a safe, painless, and radiation-free imaging method that provides valuable diagnostic information to healthcare providers.
