FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chester, (CA) April 28th, 2025 – Seneca Healthcare District (SHD) proudly offered free health exams at the successful Transitional Kindergarten (TK) & Kindergarten Round-Up event, annually held at Chester Elementary School on April 24th, 2025. This community event welcomes new families and their future students into the school community. SHD featured Primary Care Provider Stefanie White, FNP-C, who provided free basic physicals, and Registered Dietitian Traci Haynes, who addressed parents’ questions regarding anemia and children’s diets. The Kindergarten Round-Up event is coordinated by the Plumas County Office of Education each year, and Seneca Healthcare District is proud to support the youth of our community.
The event was a vibrant and engaging opportunity for parents and children to receive preliminary health assessments needed for starting school, meet with faculty and staff, and begin building a strong foundation for early learning and wellness.
Held at Chester Elementary School, the TK & Kindergarten Round-Up was filled with informative booths, hands-on activities for children, and free health exams designed to ease the transition into the school environment. From welcoming students with fun and interactive stations to offering valuable resources to families, the day was a testament to the strength and support of our combined wellness pillars in the community.
A special thanks goes out to the dedicated staff and community members who helped make this event a resounding success. Stefanie White, FNP-C, and Kacie Broussard of SHD went above and beyond to create a warm and welcoming health exam experience. Traci Haynes, RD, was a friendly face, lending her expertise about nutrition while guiding families. Seneca Healthcare District thanks Seneca Auxiliary members Nancy Foote and Cheryl Burton for volunteering their time to this important community event by helping greet families and pass out goodies to the children.
Director of Public Relations Chelssa Outland shared, “Events like the TK & Kindergarten Round-Up are essential in creating a welcoming environment where families feel supported from the very beginning. We’re incredibly grateful to be a part of this event and have the opportunity to give back to our community.”
This annual TK & Kindergarten Round-Up represents an important step in building strong connections with incoming families and fostering a love of learning and wellness from day one.
