FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 16th, 2025

(Chester, CA) – Seneca Healthcare District (SHD) is proud to announce the successful completion of our annual Community Wellness Screenings, held over the past two weeks at the Seneca Healthcare Foundation Office. These screenings were a public event open to all, dedicated to improving the health, wellness, and well-being of our entire community by offering low-cost blood draws, imaging, and more.

This initiative was made possible by the combined efforts of several departments and volunteers, all working together to ensure a smooth, safe, and welcoming experience for every participant. We are deeply grateful to everyone involved and are honored to recognize the outstanding contributions of individuals and teams who made this event a success.

Health Information Department

SHD’s Health Information team provided a warm and secure registration process each day by helping community members check-in and guiding them through the process.

Nursing Staff Members

Thanks to SHD’s nursing staff that volunteered alongside Jessica Gorbet, head nurse who coordinated scheduling, promoted the event internally and externally, and helped facilitate community outreach and employee participation.

Finance Department

SHD’s finance team was instrumental in confirming how payments are accepted and processed, and pricing these resources to be accessible for community members.

Maintenance and Safety

Our maintenance and safety team ensured that the building was set up with essential equipment each day, safe for participants, and provided a welcoming atmosphere.

Housekeeping

The Housekeeping team worked diligently behind the scenes to maintain a clean, sanitary, and comfortable space throughout the event. Their attention to detail helped ensure a positive experience for every participant.

Auxiliary Volunteers: A Heartfelt Thank You

Seneca Healthcare District would also like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the dedicated members of our Seneca Auxiliary, who gave their time to support every aspect of this event—from greeting guests to helping with registration. Special thanks go to Marlyne Selk, Louise Osborne, Nancy Foote, Tanya Ahupu and Debbie Brownrigg. Their warmth and service helped create a welcoming atmosphere for all who attended.

Committed to Community Health

These screenings, headed by clinic manager Jessica Gorbet, are just one of the many ways that Seneca Healthcare District upholds our commitment to community health and wellness. By offering convenient, public access to essential health services, we aim to empower individuals with knowledge, early detection, and the resources they need to live healthier lives.

We thank our staff, volunteers and community members for their participation and look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.
