Build Progress:
Construction is in full swing and the site is buzzing with activity. Concrete has been poured to form the foundation, bringing us one big step closer to seeing the structure take shape. Massive steel deliveries are arriving, and the first beams are being offloaded and prepped for installation—it’s all starting to come together! The energy on-site is electric as the framework begins to rise, marking the start of a major transformation. Every truckload and every pour moves us closer to our vision becoming a reality, and it’s an exciting time for everyone involved.
Stay tuned—big things are happening!
Philanthropic Efforts:
On May 30th, the Seneca Healthcare Foundation (SHF) hosted its inaugural charity golf tournament at Bailey Creek Golf Course, raising vital funds and awareness for the construction of the new Lake Almanor Community Hospital.
Over 100 golfers—including sponsors, healthcare professionals, and community supporters—came out to show their support.
Looking ahead, SHF is excited to announce its next fundraising initiative: the Buy-a-Beam Campaign. Community members can sponsor a structural beam for $500, directly contributing to the hospital’s construction. Toward the end of the season, SHF will host a Beam Signing Event, where donors will receive a sneak peek of the new hospital and have the opportunity to sign the beam they helped bring to life.

Next Steps:
As we move into the summer months, the next steps in construction include completing the foundation work, erecting the steel structure, and beginning framing as the site quickly takes shape. Alongside the progress on the build, we’ve planned a variety of events specifically designed to bring the community together and get everyone involved! From fundraisers to family-friendly gatherings, these events are a chance to connect, learn more about the project, and be part of something meaningful. We deeply value the community members who show up and help build not just a structure—but a stronger, healthier future for all of us.
