Build Progress:
Interior rough-in activities are currently underway, with crews beginning drywall installation throughout the interior spaces. The main entrance doors have been successfully installed, and all windows and remaining exterior doors are now in place, effectively enclosing the building. With the building envelope substantially complete and recent mild weather conditions supporting construction operations, work has been able to transition efficiently to the interior. These conditions have allowed crews to continue advancing interior progress, focusing on drywall installation and other related rough-in tasks.
Philanthropic Efforts:
Artwork Planning & Engagement
Another exciting component of the project is the development of an artwork and interior cultural design plan for the new hospital. Over the coming months, we will begin engaging:
- Local donors
- Community members
- Regional artists
Our goal is to incorporate artwork that reflects the beauty, history, and spirit of the Lake Almanor Basin while creating a warm, healing environment for patients and families. More information on how community members can participate will be shared soon.

Next Steps:
In parallel with construction activity, the New Build Team is working with each hospital department on the detailed planning required to move into the new facility next year. This includes:
- Reviewing operational workflows
- Updating equipment and supply needs
- Planning furniture placement and room layouts
- Developing move‑day logistics
- Ensuring patient care continuity throughout the transition
These detailed discussions ensure that every department is fully prepared for a smooth and successful opening.
