July 2026 New Build Update

Exterior work is moving forward quickly, with siding and rockwork now being installed throughout the building. By late summer, we expect the hospital’s exterior façade to look largely complete, giving our community its first glimpse of the finished facility.

These special events offer a behind-the-scenes look at the future of your community healthcare—giving attendees a chance to walk the site, see major milestones taking shape, and witness the transformation in real time. The August 22 event may even include guided access through portions of the new hospital campus, offering a rare, early glimpse inside the facility itself! See you all there!

The Support Services Building is a critical component of Seneca Healthcare District’s new hospital project and will serve as the future home of our Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Purchasing departments. While essential to the daily operations of the new hospital, this building was not included in the USDA-funded portion of the project. Instead, it is being made possible through the generosity of community donors, contributions of time and construction expertise from volunteers and contractors, and the support of the Seneca Healthcare Foundation. We are excited to share that the building structure has now been erected, and the next phase will include installing doors and beginning interior construction. Our goal is to complete the Support Services Building before the main hospital opens, as it will play a vital role in preparing, staffing, and stocking the new facility to ensure a smooth transition and successful opening.

We are also excited to share plans for a special feature designed to enhance the comfort and well-being of our long-term care residents. We are working with local contractor House of Custom Cabinets to create personalized memory care boxes for each resident’s room. These inset shadow boxes will be installed outside rooms, allowing residents to display photos, keepsakes, and personal items. The memory care boxes will help residents easily identify their rooms while adding a meaningful personal touch to their living space.

As this feature was not included in the original project budget, there will be additional costs associated with the memory care boxes. Community members who would like to support this effort can dontate to this through the Seneca Healthcare Foundation.
