(Chester, CA) — As we begin Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Seneca Healthcare District recognizes this as a time dedicated to raising awareness about women’s health and the importance of preventive care. Dr. Tamara Simon, MD, MPH, a board-certified gynecological surgeon and women’s health specialist at the Lake Almanor Clinic, is encouraging local women to prioritize their health by taking advantage of comprehensive women’s healthcare services available right here in the Lake Almanor Basin.
Access to quality women’s healthcare can play a critical role in the early detection of breast cancer and other health conditions. Regular wellness exams, screenings, and conversations with a trusted provider help women stay proactive about their health at every stage of life.
“Breast Cancer Awareness Month serves as an important reminder that preventive care matters,” said Dr. Tamara Simon. “Women’s healthcare goes far beyond treating illness. It’s about prevention, education, and empowering women to make informed decisions about their health.”
At the Lake Almanor Clinic, Dr. Simon provides comprehensive gynecologic and women’s health services designed to support women through every stage of life.
Services include:
- Annual wellness exams
- Preventive gynecologic care
- Menopause management
- Hormone replacement therapy
- Diagnostic evaluations and testing
- Treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding
- Endometrial ablation for heavy menstrual bleeding
- Sexual health and wellness
- Personalized treatment plans
For many rural residents, traveling long distances for specialty care can delay diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Simon is now accepting new patients. No referral is required to see her.
